The exam was typically scored with maximum 50 Marks per section for a total of 200 Marks. There is no individual sectional cut off.
There is negative marking in SSC CHSL 2018 Tier 1 Exam. Giving a wrong answer to a question will lead to a penalty of 0.5 marks in all sections

The minimum marks that a candidate needs to qualify SSC CHSL Tier-II are 33 per cent.
- The total time duration of the exam is of 60 minutes and total marks are 100 marks.
- All the questions are based on the concepts of 10th standard.
The total time duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy.

SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to posts like LDC, JSA, PA, SA, and DEO in various government departments.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) from a recognized board. The age limit is generally 18–27 years (with applicable relaxations).
SSC CHSL has three tiers:
Tier I: Computer-based test (MCQs) – General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language.
Tier II: Descriptive Paper (Essay/Letter writing).
Tier III: Skill Test/Typing Test
There is no attempt limit. You can apply as long as you meet the age and qualification requirements.
Usually ₹100. Women, SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen are exempted.
